Port Technical Company SA was established in 1995 as a result of restructuring and acquisition of the former departments of technical facilities in the Port of Gdynia. PZT activities are concentrated in three areas: complex assembly of large-size steel structures, cranes and gantry cranes, and repair and renowation of equipment handling and transportation services as well as comprehensive construction and installation of port infrastructure facilities. Since 1995, the Port Technical Company is gradually increasing the range of services and expanding customer base by noting the systematic increase in sales. Many years of PZT experience in the field of assembly of container lifting equipment pay off in many prestigious realizations in the country and abroad. The most significant achievements of PZT in recent years include: a comprehensive installation of all container handling equipment at the youngest Polish terminal – Deepwater Container Terminal in Gdansk (2007/2008/2011/2012/2013) and participation in the modernization of HHLA Container Terminal in Hamburg (2006 / 2007/2008/2011). A well-executed installation of 30 units of cranes working in automatic mode (ASC) in Abu Dhabi in 2011/2012 caused an another significant contract assembly – 20 automatic gantry ASC cranes to the terminal in New York.

Implementation of tasks has begaun in February 2013 and will last until March 2014. It should be emphasized that since August 2013 the PZT is the holder of a specialized transport set SPMT (Self Proppeled Modular Transporter) produced by the European leader of such machines – the German company Scheuerle. It is the fourth generation of machines manufactured for customers around the world since 1983. Purchased set is the start of a new transport service activities by the PZT SA, which will be special transportation of heavy and large size loads. In the longer term the PZT SA plans to continue increase the load capacity development investments already had set. The crew of Port Technical Company performed assembly of lifting equipment in virtually every corner of the world-rom Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, India, Iran and ending with the far-off Australia – where in the Port of Brisbane assembled last 14 automatic cranes. We should add to this African ports and ports situated in the Mediterranean Sea.
