The Gdynia Port Technical Company specializes in the installation of steel structures of cranes and gantry cranes and repair of equipment handling and transportation. – In the last year and current year a lot of tasks we perform for domestic container terminals – both for the Baltic Container Terminal, Deepwater Container Terminal Gdańsk and Gdynia Container Terminal – says Krzysztof Bak, president of the Port Technical Company SA.

– At the end of May we completed the installation of two gantry cranes of the German company KOCKS KRANE designed for the Baltic Container Terminal that we transported from the Danish quay directly on the Helskie I quay. New railway cranes have been very smoothly loaded onto a pontoon using specialized transport set SPMT (Self Proppeled Modular Transporter), produced by the European leader of such machines – a German company Scheuerle which in the number of four units, is owned by the Port Technical Company since August l, 2013.

– Our terminal implements the guidelines of the European Union’s transport policy, which implies 2030 to serve over 35 percent of cargo by rail – says Krzysztof Szymborski, president of the Baltic Container Terminal.

Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. carries out reconstruction of the intermodal terminal – in fact, there is a completely new intermodal terminal created. Therefore, we bought new rail gantry cranes that have been perfectly assembled by the Port Technical Company. It’s another card in our joint work in the Port of Gdynia. Now we have started technical tests – we look forward to the final construction of new railway track …
